Privacy Policy — Today's Picture Diary

Today's Picture Diary ("the App") is a personal diary app that turns your journal entries into AI-generated illustrations and lets you customize a virtual character and room. This policy explains what information the App collects and how it is used.

Information We Collect

• Account information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address to create and manage your account.
• Photos: When you choose a reference photo to generate your AI character or illustrate a diary entry, that photo is sent to Google's Gemini API for one-time processing. We do not store your original photo on our servers.
• Diary content: The title and text of a diary entry you choose to illustrate are sent to OpenAI's API to identify a scene to draw and to analyze the emotional tone of the entry.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not use any advertising or analytics SDKs. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Your diary entries, coins, and room/furniture data are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

Third-Party Services

• Google Sign-In / Sign in with Apple: used for authentication.
• Supabase: used to manage your account (email-based authentication only).
• OpenAI API: processes diary text to generate an illustration prompt and detect emotion.
• Google Gemini API: processes photos to generate your character and diary illustrations.

Each of these providers processes data solely to perform the function described above and is not used for advertising.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your account is tied to your email address. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the email below.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
